Kathleen is an alumna and member of the Advisory Council for the College of Business and Technology of Western Illinois University and was recognized as 2011 Distinguished Alumna. She is an accredited associate and Fellow of The Institute for Independent Business. She served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the La Quinta California Chamber of Commerce for over seven years where she wrote a monthly column for the GEM community and member publication. With a passion for giving back, Kathleen has served on the American Heart Association and Arthritis Foundation - Coachella Valley Division's Advisory Boards. She has been a judge for the Desert Sands Unified School District's Goldfish Bowl, a competition for STEM funding and for CVEP's (Coachella Valley Economic Partnership) Fast-Pitch, a funding competition for start-ups.
Kathleen authored two online learning modules – Grass Roots Marketing and Managing & Compensating a Sales Team - for the MBArts Program for the recently accredited, Institute for Independent Business University (IIBU). She is a co-author of, Being in Business Is a Funny Thing – Getting Out is Not! focused on business growth and transition for business owners and entrepreneurs.
Kathleen is a native of Chicago and lives in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Her passion is international travel – she has visited 6 continents - and the cultures that make our world rich.
