"Working in Harmony" was the theme of the conference as people who work in rehabilitation services for South Dakota gathered together for their annual conference. Attendees realize that change is the constant, and so they learned ways to deal with this change from top keynote speaker Jan McInnis.  McInnis offered up practical tips along with hilarious humor during the State of South Dakota Department of Human Services conference on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

The attendees, who work with people with disabilities, had sessions ranging from employment strategies to adverse childhood experiences. McInnis was the closing keynote speaker, and she showed them how to use humor to do things such as diffuse tension and kick off tough conversations.

Lots of laughter was also a part of the program to help attendees leave the conference on a high note.
