First, she was a breakout star on The Apprentice, then she was part of President Trump’s inner circle on his successful campaign for the White House. Now, “Omarosa” says she is putting the White House “on notice” as she exits the President’s administration.

Telling anyone who would listen in the media that she has “quite a story to tell” and that it’s a tale “the world will want to hear” the former reality TV star and Trump assistant communications director says she now has plans to do some communicating her old boss may not appreciate.

As rumors swirled that she was “fired” from her job on the President’s staff, Omarosa vehemently denied these allegations. She also disagreed with various headlines that she raised a bit of a ruckus when she was escorted from the White House grounds.

According to her statements during an appearance on Good Morning America, Omarosa said she talked with chief of staff John Kelly, sharing some concerns. Without going into the nature of those concerns or the result of that conversation, she said she later resigned.

But the plot thickened…

According to various media reports, Kelly has previously told Omarosa that she was scheduled to be dismissed from service and that she learned about this prior to her resignation. However, White House Spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Omarosa would remain on the payroll through January 20, leaving some confused as to what the real story happened to be.

Sanders told the press: “The President likes Omarosa, thanked her for her service… she’ll be here later this afternoon, so she’s resigned from her position, but there’s really nothing else to add on that front.”

All told, Omarosa doesn’t seem to have too many hard feelings, telling the media she planned to stay no longer than a year in any case, before returning “to my life.”

So, why tease the tell-all, especially if there’s nothing to tell?

It’s a great question, but one that may not be too mysterious. Omarosa may have just been having fun with the media or enjoying the opportunity to see her name in prominent headlines above stories where she left on her own terms. It could be as simple as that … or, maybe, she really does have a bone to pick, and a book is forthcoming.

No one can say for sure at this point, but the answer probably won’t be a mystery for too much longer. Here’s what Omarosa had to say to the Associated Press:

“When I have a chance to tell my story … quite a story to tell, as the only African-American woman in this White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the President, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people… And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”
