Founder of First Friday Book Synopsis to get Richard F. Tozer award

Dallas, TX – Randy Mayeux, a founder of the First Friday Book Synopsis, will receive the Dr. Richard F. Tozer Innovation & Entrepreneurship Leadership Award from the Institute of Management Consultants Monday, May 21, at a dinner at the Wyndham Park Central.

Randy Mayeux has served the Dallas business community through his passion for reading since 1998.  As co-founder of the First Friday Book Synopsis, he personally has offered his take on over 250 titles to its audience.   Experienced in theology, rhetoric and business, Randy brings book briefings on poverty and social justice to CitySquare's Urban Engagement Book Club. Besides writing for these two audiences and a worldwide client base, he has authored the e-book, 12 Vital Signs of Organizational Health to summarize key lessons learned over 16+ years of reading & speaking on the best business books.

The award is named for Richard F. Tozer, a longtime Dallas management consultant who taught at Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas.

A panel led by Dr. Michael Egan, CMC®, will bring Dr. Tozer's legacy to a new audience. Panelists Richard Morgan, Bette Price and Dan Weston promise a lively discussion.
