The messaging states that avoiding comparing ourselves to others is helpful because that is often the motivation to quit our endeavor. My Story

There is a benefit in others putting us down in that it allows us more free time, as we disconnect from them, to contemplate our desires and how to achieve them. Our inner thoughts can direct us to the better route when we pay attention and realize how to proceed.

Two questions to ask ourselves:

  1. Are we progressing toward not what we wish but want to accomplish?
  2. Am I learning valuable lessons along the way to strengthen my character and motivation to persevere against all odds?

Mustering the confidence to speak our truth is significant in moving past discriminatory practices and offensive remarks. Confidence without ego is a game changer. The other side is that we know how to say ‘no’ when the occasion calls for it and speak up when injustice occurs. Learning better methods to speak up with professionalism on every level enables us to achieve our goals.

Public speaking classes teach us how to communicate with professional authority and share stories that will attract interest from many. The first one to benefit is the individual beginning to feel confidence increase. Next, business revenue grows when we realize how to communicate what we offer, including our unique brand and ways of delivering what we promise. The skills translate well when we must speak up for what is fair.

Statistics reveal much and sadly little changes throughout the decades regarding equality and inclusion for all. A Washington, D.C. Museum displays a sign that states much in only a few words.

How does all the above affect business?

Clients admire those who take the time to speak on a professionally friendly level by sharing appropriate stories as the conversation develops, with laughter being the bonus—accordingly, sales increase. Next, with everyone online, we must express ourselves well with our posted vocabulary. It is best to test which commentary receives the most recognition to convert to other methods. By doing so, we can use the unique communications style for branding, marketing, and other platforms contributing to business growth.

Everyone experiences incidents that turn out to be excellent or undesirable. Building confidence includes the willingness to learn from the worst we encounter to move past to continue with our ambition and internal goals. Speaking with peers about how they overcame similar issues is helpful. On a larger scale, creating a program that mentors others who may one day face identical incidents is also beneficial—inspiring others to continue boomerangs and providing us with additional motivation to continue going forward.

An excellent learning platform is to realize the errors of others as everyone makes them. Listen to the experiences of those in your sphere to recognize commonalities and avoid the same. And by asking the same people how they see improvement for the future, all parties in the conversation stand to gain momentum in their endeavors.
