Free Faxing Service

Faxing continues to be a popular way for citizens to communicate with their elected representatives. Of the 1,896,564 faxes sent via the internet fax service FaxZero.com during 2018, many were free faxes sent to members of the U.S. House and Senate.

Kevin Savetz, the founder of FaxZero, saw a similar uptick in faxes to Congress last year and had dubbed 2017 "The Year of Protest Faxing."

"After again examining which companies and government entities received the most faxes in 2018, I can confirm that FaxZero's free, one-click fax-your-representatives service remains extremely popular," Savetz said.

Just a couple of years ago, the Top 25 most-faxed destinations mostly consisted of businesses and government agencies. While those entities still get a lot of faxes, elected officials are receiving more and more messages from constituents via FaxZero.

Amazon.com received the most faxes overall via FaxZero for the third year in a row, but the next two slots were occupied by three key swing voters: Republican reps Susan Collins of Maine, Jeff Flake of Arizona and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. Combined, the three of them received 21,583 faxes via FaxZero's free fax-Congress service.

Also receiving a lot of faxes were: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), and Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina). The top Democrat fax-getter was Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia.

With FaxZero.com, anyone can send up to five free faxes per day in the U.S. and Canada. That count includes the ability to fax the senate and fax congress. FaxZero pre-fills the legislator's name and number so it just takes a couple of clicks to send the fax. The site has been updated to reflect the newly seated 116th Congress. FaxZero also facilitates free faxes to state governors as well as the U.S. Attorney General's Office.

"I'm gratified that so many people find FaxZero a great way to reach out to their elected officials as well as to do business day to day," Savetz said. "With busy phone lines and filtered email so prevalent, faxing continues to be a popular option for making one's voice heard."

Other often-faxed entities in 2018 were credit and financial services (including student loans), social services entities, a military personnel center, insurance claims centers and health-related agencies.

Savetz has been an expert on faxing online since the early 1990s and started FaxZero in 2006. The simple interface allows documents in DOC, PDF, JPG and other formats via cell phone, handheld device or desktop computer. The faxes usually take five minutes or less to transmit, and all personal information is carefully guarded.

"More than 18.3 million faxes have been sent via FaxZero in the nearly 13 years since its inception," Savetz said.

FaxZero allows the sending of five free faxes per day of up to three pages each to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. For additional or longer faxes, the premium faxing option is $1.99 per fax. international faxing is available for as low as $2, depending on the nation faxed, to more than 180 countries around the world.

FaxZero has been featured in publications such as U.S. News, Reuters and PC World. Savetz is also the creator of more than 100 FreePrintable.net sites including FreeFaxCoverSheets.net, with its nearly 400 fax cover sheet designs.

FaxZero.com is part of Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
