Military Buildup Consequences

Trump's military buildup for fiscal year 2027 will dramatically make the economy worse.  Because military spending and manufacturing are so similar, both being leading users of key research and capital resources, whenever there is a major military buildup (42% increase next year) there will be a simultaneous drop in manufacturing jobs.  Thanks to Bush's 1.5% of GDP military buildup for the Iraq War, there were 24 months of no growth in manufacturing jobs.  We can expect something similar in 2027.

The precision of the tradeoff between the military and manufacturing continues to astonish me.  For example, military budgets before and after fiscal year 2008 show a slow steady increase.  But 2008 is $60 billion more than that trend line.  In fact, the four quarters of that fiscal year represent the four largest economic quarter drops of that period of time.  In 2006, after Bush lost the congress, he announced a "surge" of $70 billion increased military for that war.  On Martin Luther King's birthday (January 2007) Madison Wisconsin Democrats gathered for a party with the great Ed Garvey there.  In my speech there I emphasized that this buildup would destroy the economy.  I was right.  Here's how it worked:  it takes about six months to deploy the troops but that was done on the fixed budget of fiscal 2007.  The cost had to catch up in the next budget, fiscal 2008.  From 10-1-07 to 9-30-08 this surge caused the economic collapse that in turn triggered the subprime mortgage banking collapse that began in September 2008.  Unemployment gradually rises and peaks in October 2009 at 10.2%.  All of this has the precision of science, not the fog of social sciences, such as mainstream economics, which has a huge blind spot when it comes to the natural sciences.  I took three years of college physics in my engineering degree.

Millions Will Die Needlessly

If the Norwegian Nobel Committee continues to ignore or downplay my nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in this eleventh year, millions will die in wars or domestic murders in coming decades.  When world leaders start to realize that lower military budgets can strengthen their manufacturing economy and lead to stronger national security in a decade or two, the worldwide level risk of war will drop as world military spending drops.  In addition, the domestic consequences of high military spending will increase various health risks and crime and murder risks, leading to millions more dying or living accordingly, in addition to war deaths.  This life saving result of my trade name "Peace Economics", greatly exceeds results of any of the Nobel Peace Prize winners in the last ten years, even if they all were combined.

Why Now?

The "Weather Wealth & Wars" component of my research, the climate cycle research caused by variable solar warming of the planet between land and ocean, leads to maximum war tension in the years around 2024.  In my scheme I time wars by the start date and I only look at the two wars with the most deaths, the major war and the secondary war.  The war period runs from 2004 to 2031 when the 17 war cycles (major and secondary) are combined.  Hence the 2022 Ukraine War and 2023 Gaza War and the 2026 Iran War show how strong the conditions for war are right now.
