For Sandy Hillman Communications, an agency that has worked on the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner, the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entrance into World War I, the 70th anniversary of D-Day, and the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing offered a unique challenge – how to ensure attention was focused on their client, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.  

Senior vice president, Liz Feldman, shares in this short CommunicationsMatch™/PRSA NJ video on the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Program, the key lesson from their experience – “find the one differentiator that our client can claim and own, that no one else can.” She adds, “In this instance, the launch happened at Kennedy Space Center.”

The event included a replay of the original Walter Cronkite commentary, film footage from the launch, and narration by the original “Capcom” Charlie Duke, son of Apollo 11 astronaut, Buzz Aldrin.
