My air travel will be about 20,000 miles this year, including a long international trip, and last year was 23,000. These were my two lowest career years outside of the covid years, of my total of over four million air miles. If you don't think remote work and AI are having an effect, look at the pragmatics. This isn't theoretical. It's about less wearying traveling, lost bags, dumb immigration, mediocre food, and delayed flights. (And I fly first class and belong to all the clubs!) That's how you judge whether events are changing your life.We also own five vehicles, all gas powered, and I could replace them at any time I choose for electrics. But I'm not doing that and probably won't (and won't have to). Stop looking at charts and graphs and projections. Look at the decisions people are making.
