WORK PROJECTS AMERICA OFFERS NEW PUBLIC SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR DIAL DELIVER
"Respect the Road — Someone's Dinner Is on the Way"
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Work Projects America today announced a new public service advertising campaign created in partnership with Dial Deliver to promote safer driving habits and greater respect for delivery workers on America's roads.
The campaign, titled:
"Respect the Road — Someone's Dinner Is on the Way"
uses bold WPA-inspired artwork and classic public service poster design to remind motorists that delivery drivers are workers serving families, seniors, office workers, and communities every day.
The posters encourage drivers to:
-
Slow down
-
Avoid distracted driving
-
Put away mobile phones
-
Leave safe distance between vehicles
-
Watch for delivery workers, bicycles, scooters, and pedestrians
The campaign's central message states:
"Driver Safety — Respect the Road. Someone's Dinner Is on the Way."
According to organizers, the campaign was inspired by historic Works Progress Administration public information posters from the 1930s and 1940s that promoted public safety, community responsibility, and civic awareness.
"America's roads have become workplaces for millions of delivery drivers," said Mitchell P. Davis, spokesperson for Work Projects America. "Behind every delivery vehicle is a real person trying to safely complete a job and serve the public. We want drivers to remember that patience and awareness save lives."
The campaign comes as food delivery services continue rapid nationwide growth, increasing the number of drivers operating under tight schedules in crowded traffic conditions.
Dial Deliver is developing an artificial intelligence-powered conversational ordering platform designed to let consumers place food delivery orders through natural voice conversations over the telephone without apps or complicated ordering systems.
"Many people never think about the human side of delivery work," Davis added. "A delivery may be headed to a family dinner, an elderly shut-in, a late-night hospital worker, or someone unable to leave home. Respect on the road matters."
The public service campaign will include:
-
Digital posters
-
Social media graphics
-
Restaurant window signs
-
Community awareness materials
-
Online public service advertisements
-
Possible partnerships with restaurants and delivery services
Work Projects America says the initiative is part of a broader effort to revive classic American-style public service campaigns focused on community responsibility, safety, and civic cooperation.
