Bentley runs ahead of me and, at a certain distance, stops to observe whether I’ll go right, left, or straight. He then runs ahead in that direction and continues the maneuver until he realizes our destination (the truck, the pool, the mail, food bowl). He’s always ahead of me but never has to backtrack because he guessed at a wrong path (and there are often more than three).
Are you watching your buyer, anticipating from the buyer’s cues and movements the intended direction in your conversation, and preparing adequately? Or are you merely following, hoping to catch up?
