About Author

Todd M. Kays, Ph. D. is President of the Athletic Mind Institute and has worked with Olympic, professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. He was the first sport psychology fellow at The Ohio State University and currently serves as a consultant and adjunct faculty member there. He is also helping to develop sport psychology services at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He was the sport psychologist for the Columbus Crew and for numerous soccer players and coaches throughout the U.S. and world. Dr. Kays has consulted with athletes and coaches from Major League Soccer, Professional Hockey, PGA, and LPGA and his work has been featured by ESPN, Fox Sports, and New York Post. Dr. Kays is also recognized as a pioneer in linking sport and performance psychology to business and industry and has worked with numerous companies throughout the United States.

He has authored/co-authored 4 additional books: Athlete's Journal(2008), Golfer's Journal(2008), Positive Transitions for Student Athletes: Life Skills for Transitions in Sport, College, and Career(2000) and The Parent's Playbook: Developing a Gameplan for Maximizing Your Child's Athletic Experience (2001). He also produced Peak Mental Performance in Golf: Sharpening the Mental Side of Your Game, a CD, book, and video series addressing mental training for the sport of golf.
