The AuthorYOU Pitch Fest-
Where Serious Authors go for the Chance to Have Their Story Be Told.

AuthorYOU is looking for fifteen authors to pitch their manuscript to a panel of judges for a chance to get their book published. For the first time AuthorYOU is hosting a Book Pitch Fest, sponsored by Thomson-Shore Inc. This event will be located at the Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge CO, taking place on August 23rd.
During the Pitch Fest you will have 3-5 minutes to deliver your pitch to the panel of judges. For this event you must be 18 years or older to participate, and the work that you have written must be solely your own. The manuscript, that you come to present, must be finished and available for work to begin within twelve months, should you win.
This event is part of the AuthorYOU Extravaganza, a four-day event designed to teach you the marketing and publishing skills necessary to be a successful author. Publishing and Book Marketing experts, Judith Briles, Daniel Hall, John Kremer, and Kathy Meis will help you develop your own strategic marketing plan for your book. In addition, you'll learn how to find an agent that's right for you, develop good speaking strategies, and how to better build your own brand.
"Offering a Book Pitch Fest is a first at the Extravaganza," says Judith Briles, chair of the event. "15 authors-to-be have up to three minutes to hook the judges with any genre of their premise and their vision for their book. After all pitches have been made the judges will decide the winner. The grand prize includes book editing, cover design, printing, and distribution, a value of up to $10,000. "We're excited that Thomson-Shore Inc. is sponsoring this exciting opportunity."
