Jessica DeBruyne, Chief Product Officer at S’ABLE Labs, explored the challenges and opportunities of creating a beauty brand with sustainability at the core. Jessica shared not only her passion for the products, but her fascinating insights into the importance of sustainability for the brand, learnings on why it’s important to have a clearer understanding of the wider definition of sustainability, and where to start on your sustainability journey. 


Founded by Sabrina and Idris Elba in 2020, S’ABLE Labs exist to make people feel so good, that they are able to treat one another and the planet better. From their supply chain partners (who they know personally) to their curious community, they work to build lasting connections that can help drive positive change, together. Joanne Milner, CEO of Garrard – synonymous with some of the most iconic and precious jewellery in existence – explored the part that sustainability plays in modernising a heritage brand. Joanne openly shared her inspiring insights into the challenges of placing sustainability at the core of the business, and why although the value may not initially be apparent to the bottom line, it can contribute enormously to the value of the brand.


Garrard is the longest-serving jeweller in the world, calling London its home since 1735. The collections and bespoke pieces all display the brand’s storied royal origins, with everything carefully handcrafted to produce effortlessly glamorous results

Will Dennis, Head of Sustainability at Bamford discussed sustainable innovation and the importance of certification. Will generously shared his insights into the challenges of embedding sustainability throughout the business, revealing the stories behind their award-winning merino wool collection and beauty products.
