One of the highlights of the recent presentation of TALKERS 2026: Radio’s Next Chapter on June 5 at Hofstra University is a candid one-on-one keynote conversation between special guest, Red Apple Media CEO John Catsimatidis and TALKERS founder & publisher Michael Harrison. Catsimatidis is a self-made grocery business and energy industry mogul whose media holdings include radio stations 77 WABC, New York and WLIR-FM, Long Island; syndication firm, Red Apple Audio Networks; and the recently launched Worldwide News Network. He is also a very active radio talk show host in his own right.
Harrison and Catsimatidis discuss an array of broadcasting topics including the future of radio as a viable business and platform, as well as his plans for the expansion of the Red Apple Media companies.
