In clinical studies,
people's judgments of strangers were affected by whether they were drinking iced coffee or hot coffee! The iced-coffee drinkers were more likely to see others as selfish, less sociable, etc. The hot-coffee drinkers had a much more positive impression.
Or how about this one: simply making visible objects characteristic of business environments, such as briefcases and boardroom tables, made people more competitive, less cooperative, and less generous when interacting with each other.
