Calling all Kids, Grandkids and Husbands: Wouldn't you love to help your talented moms, wives, and grandmas become the latest YouTube sensation?

Does your grandmother constantly talk about the "Good old days" when she was singing in Las Vegas, or dancing for the troops in a USO show? Does your mom get that far away look in her eyes watching old Judy Garland and Debbie Reynolds musicals on TV? Is your wife a baby boomer, turning 60, that can still sing, "I got you babe." every bit as good as Cher? If so, it's time to blow the dust off the old tap shoes, warm up those rusty pipes, get out the baton and sign her up for the ride of her life

This week the Ms. Senior USA Performance Pageant is launching its web site at www.msseniorusa.com and is looking for talented senior women over 60 to sign up for a chance at the $3,000 grand prize, an opportunity to appear on stage at Harrah's Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and the honor of wearing the Sash and Crown of Ms. Senior USA.

With Senior women the hottest thing going in today's youth dominated entertainment industry, the timing is perfect for the first online senior performance pageant, thanks to Betty White and Americas Got Talent.

The Ms. Senior USA pageant is the brainchild of three amazing women from San Diego, who met at the Ms. Senior America, California finals. Jean Margaret Jones, who directed the pageant, Elaine Brammell, local Miss Pageant director, and Joni Wilson, voice/performance coach and bestselling author.

Their vision was to create an online competition accessible and affordable to every talented senior woman over 60 in the USA. They wanted a safe place for senior women to show their talents and share their message using today's phenomenal social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. "The voting public loves to be involved in talent competitions like American Idol and Dancing With The Stars, so why not open the door to a talented generation of women over 60?" asks Joni Wilson, co-director of the pageant, who has actually trained many contestants for American Idol.

Co-director Jean Margaret Jones became involved in her first pageant at the age of 20 and renewed her interest at the age of 60 by becoming a contestant, then director of the Ms. Senior America Pageant. "I know how senior women make a difference in their communities and I'm excited to be a part of the first on line pageant to give women over 60 a platform to share their message with the world".

Co-Director Elaine Brammell who has worked with teens as pageant director is excited to use her skills to now promote their grandmothers. She believes; "This is a great opportunity for families to get involved in the voting process and work together using social media networking to help their favorite contestant win."

Benefits to the Contestants

In the preliminary stage, which is on line voting only: Each contestant will have her own web page on the Ms. Senior USA website with photo, bio and links to her two minute YouTube talent video. She can also include a link to her personal or business website. Using Facebook, Twitter, personal e-mail or any promotional method she chooses, she will, with the help of family, friends and her own support group, gather enough votes to advance her to the semi-finals. 10 winners from each state will advance by popular vote. She will also have an opportunity to share information and network with fellow contestants from every state on the Ms. Senior USA Blog.

The Semi-finals will be determined by on line voting and judges panel. This stage will include everything in the preliminary round, plus a local sash for each of the 10 ladies who advance to the semi-finals. The sash is to be worn for photo-ops, and any promotional events she creates and posts on her Facebook fan page.

This stage includes a professional press kit, video, and links to help each contestant create her worldwide platform to promote her uniqueness. Her goal is to secure the votes to take her to the finals at Harrah's, August 27th and 28th, and a chance at the $3,000.00 Prize.

The Finals; will include two days of performance competition at Harrah's in Las Vegas, Nevada. All State winners will compete at the onstage pageant, in the showroom at Harrah's, where Professional judges will choose the winner. She will receive the winner's crown and sash, and the title of Ms. Senior USA 2011, which she will hold until the fall of 2012.
