Leslie Finnegan from Roxborough Memorial Hospital Receives the Star Developer Award November 21, 2012
"The Star Developer Awards recognize individuals who help others grow, learn, and become leaders," said Shawn Kent Hayashi, founder of The Professional Development Group and author of Conversations for Creating Star Performers. "By being an outstanding mentor, manager, leader, or guide to others, we develop our future leaders as star performers."
The Professional Development Group, a leadership development consulting firm, acknowledged five executives who received the 2012 Star Developer awards in recognition of their work to develop future leaders. Leslie Finnegan, director of radiology at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, was one of the five recipients.
Peter Adamo, chief executive officer, Roxborough Memorial Hospital, said he nominated Leslie Finnegan for this award because "Leslie showed great ability as a team leader. She inspired her team by engaging them about what they wanted to do to increase patient satisfaction, and she listened to their ideas. Her team worked on several ideas to make a positive patient experience and get the department in shape. For example, they painted walls and cleaned windows on weekends. The results: now her department ranks high in patient satisfaction scores and quality guidelines."
