Mt. Everest (Khumbu Glacier) is melting, due to huge amounts of fuel at base camp for espresso bars, large screen TVs, etc., plus 6,000 liters of urine deposited on the mountainside annually. (NY Times) Isn't this like hunting endangered animals? Is it that important for would-be adventure seekers to “climb” a mountain with an army of guides, creature-comforts, and disdain for the adverse consequences?Has anyone noticed the horrific and murderous flood in Nepal and Tibet?
