The more initials I see after a person's name, the more suspicious I get that they're trying to prove value without having actually produced it, by “collecting” certifications instead of clients. Some people have told me that the initials are important in their fields of expertise (what I call their “public square”) because their buyers will recognize the credentials. My feeling is that if you're really that good, people should “recognize” you by your brand and reputation, not your certification. In fact, people should be asking for you by name.A strong brand means that people will think about you and value your help even when you're not in front of them.I'm just sayin'….
