When something now exists that did not exist before we call it a creation.

Many people think of being creative in terms of artists. They are creative. A painting, a new song, or a movie creates something that did not exist before. Problem solving is also a creative process. Designing new processes is creative. Designing a website is creative. Writing a book or and article is creative. A presentation can be an opportunity to be creative. When we are able to bring a team together in a functional way it creates teamwork.

When people don’t think of themselves as  creative, they typically are not as creative. One reason artistic people are often thought of as being the creative ones is because of the mindset they have developed to create art.  When looking for a creative idea or a creative solution it is often the open mind that sees and tests possibilities. It is a mindset that tries again when they fail.

Difficulties are typically one of the greatest opportunities to be creative.  Competition tends to encourage us to watch for new ideas. To think creatively, choose to see opportunity in difficulty. See failure as a way to learn and build on what you know.
