Colorado Photographer John Fielder Creates the First Authors Hall of Fame Poster

DENVER COLO. September 9, 2019. Premier photographer John Fielder has created an exclusive poster for the sold-out Colorado Authors' Hall of Fame Induction event slated for Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Each attendee will receive the 18 x 24 signed posted as a Thank You for being part of the pioneering event at the end of the evening. In addition, the publishers of all the authors have contributed books to be given as an addition gift to each attendee.

Why an Authors Hall of Fame … and Why in Colorado?

Inductee Fielder reveals part of the why, "I love photography, but I love nature more. I have lived in the most beautiful place on Earth—Colorado—for most of my 69 years and 276 seasons. Colorado has everything but an ocean: plains, deserts, river canyons, and of course, mountains. Combine that diversity with four distinct seasons during which each of these provinces assumes

a different personality, and the photographic possibilities are infinite. Though the bulk of my photography is about Colorado, I travel the world and come home after exploring a new place each time saying to myself: That was amazing, but I think I like Colorado more!"

During the evening, each of the Inductees will share their authoring insights with the audience. A family member from those who have passed will offer stories about their relatives—attendees are in for a surprise—many stories have not been told publicly.

Eleven of the sixteen living Inductees will be present to accept their award; representatives of those who couldn't make it will be here; and family members of the five who have passed—all will share stories of their journeys. Stephen King can't attend, but fellow Inductee Jerry Jenkins can. Not only will he accept his award, he will accept King's for him. The two have been in contact since they shared a magazine cover years ago.

President of the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame, Dr. Judith Briles and her founding board members—several of whom are accomplished authors themselves—are choosing to honor their peers by participating in the all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Members of the public nominate extraordinary candidates whose works were vetted for induction into the Hall.

"Words matter. The words authors write together can alter lives; launch a career; solve a problem … even save a life. Words are a fountain of joy, entertainment, and revelation. Yes, words matter," per the Founder of the Hall, Dr. Judith Briles, herself an author of 37 books.

The Hall strives to educate the people of Colorado and the country about the stories of the authors who shaped their works using their personal presence and the environment of our State with courage, leadership, intelligence, compassion, and creativity. It wants to include authors who've made a major impact on others with their words. To make sure their legacies never die.
