Association Virtual EventsLast week Jeff highlighted some of our free continuing education strategy resources. We?re pretty proud of that list and the substantive data and support they offer to those of you working in the business of continuing education, professional development, and lifelong learning.
But we couldn?t offer such resources without the information and insight you provide?and we need your help now to add to that list of resources.
The survey that will form the basis for our upcoming report on virtual events among associations is now up. The report is due out in October and will be available to you for free. If you work for a membership organization, your participation is very important?even if you do not currently offer or plan to offer a virtual event and regardless of the size or budget of your association.
The survey and the report are part of our ongoing effort to assess state role of virtual conferences, trade shows, and other events in the association market and to. This work builds off two previous Tagoras reports: Association Virtual Conferences, published in January 2011, and Association Virtual Events, published in April 2012 (which, as Jeff mentioned last week, you can now get for free, to tide you over until the new report is out).
The report will cover a range of issues:
  • What features and functionalities are associations including in their virtual events?
  • How do attendance and revenue from virtual events compare to similar place-based events?
  • How are associations evaluating their virtual events and measuring learning?
  • How satisfied are associations with their virtual events?

What We Ask of You

Please help in two ways:

It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, and, depending on your answers, may take only a couple of minutes.

  • Spread the word.

Share this blog post on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or your own blog, or otherwise point your association colleagues who work in continuing education and professional development to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/virtual-events-blog.
Anyone who completes the survey can register to be entered in a drawing for one of three Amazon gift cards worth $100 (enough for Kindle) that we will give away to three randomly selected survey participants.
Thanks for your help!
Celisa

P.S.

In conjunction with the release of the report and sponsored by Digitell, we?re holding a ?Association Virtual Events? Webinar on October 16. Reserve your spot at https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/939680118.
