2017 GMC Acadia

all-wheel-drive SLT – 1

Fully redesigned SUV is slightly smaller, 7.2 inches shorter and 700 pounds lighter. This results in improved fuel economy, easier to maneuver, and confidence in corners. Standard is a 2.5 L four-cylinder optional is in the higher trim levels is a 3.6 L V6.

Towing capacity: 4000 pounds

My test vehicle was an SLT – 1 powered by a 3.6 L V6 engine, 310 hp and 271 pound feet of torque. Feel economy stated on the window sticker is 18 city and 25 highway with 20 mpg combined.

The warranty is 5 years – 60,000 miles and includes two free oil changes and 4 wheel tire rotations.

Some of the safety and security features include keyless open and start, teen driver, driver alert package, rear cross traffic alert and lane change alert with side blind zone alert. Missing from the available upgrade features is: navigation, Lane departure warning, HID or Cenon light upgrade and cooled seats.

Standard: 18 inch aluminum wheels, rear liftgate power and other exterior features include outside heated power driver side and auto dimming mirror to name a few.

Some of the new features inside include try zone auto climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and seating offers 8-way adjustable driver seat with lumbar on both front seats. Plenty of power outlets including a 120 V outlet, universal home remote, Bose premium 8-speaker audio system plus well designed seating surfaces and designer colors.

Connectivity features include XM radio for three months, OnStar for three months 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, 8? Color touchscreen with IntelliLink, Apple CarPlay and Android auto.

2017 GMC Acadia Competes with: Mazda CX – 9, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander to name the top sellers.

2017 GMC Acadia Pros: confident ride, connectivity in good dash layout.

2017 GMC Acadia Cons: not a luxurious feeling inside, tight third row seating.
