Consultants Conference Offers Workshop on Marketing Consulting Practice

The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC, www.imcusa.org) announces a powerful Pre-Conference Workshop, Positioning, Packaging and Promoting Your Consulting Practice for Success, to be held on Saturday, October 23rd. It is part of the Annual IMC Confab Conference for consultants (www.confabusa.org), to be held in Reno, Nevada October 23-25, 2010.

Positioning, Packaging and Promoting Your Consulting Practice for Success is a 3-hour, hands-on workshop focused on how to tune-up the marketing plan of a consulting practice to best position it for a dynamic and successful future. Workshop presenter Linda Popky, President of L2M Associates, is an award-winning strategic marketing consultant who helps organizations from startups and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies get better results from their marketing investments. Ms. Popky will share proven marketing and branding techniques which can be successfully applied to a consultant's practice.

This workshop will help consultants understand the key factors behind a successful marketing program and apply them to their own consulting practice. Participants will learn why it's essential to grow and develop a strong brand. They will also learn how to use simple, cost-effective marketing tools such as social media to build and differentiate their consulting practice - especially important in these tough economic times. Each consultant will leave the workshop with an action plan to begin using immediately to ensure a successful 2011.

Confab, run by IMC, is in its 33rd year as the only conference run by consultants for consultants.
