A woman was shot near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and K Street NW around 11 p.m. Oct. 11. Her injuries appear to be non-life-threatening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, which is looking for the suspect, seen wearing a mask.

Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Lisa Palmer, who lives near the crime scene on K Street, also known as Water Street, told her constituents:

“The Second District is investigating a shooting on the 3200 block of Water Street NW, which occurred at around 11 p.m. last night. The adult female victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated. Officers and detectives continue to investigate this incident but share that this was not a random act.”

“The suspect is a black male in a black Dodge Neon with a purple border on the license plate. Anyone with information is asked to contact 202-727-9099.”

“Additionally, if anyone has video of the area last night, please call the number above. I know that I heard the shots and imagine that many others did as well too.”
