Uproxx's latest article quotes astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike on why April brings potential for fiery incidents of violence.

Why does history seem to show a pattern of violence occurring in April? The statistics are so clear on this point that the month appears to justify T.S. Eliot's view of it as "the cruelest month."

Uproxx, a digital news and culture platform, recently interviewed noted Chicago astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike about the trend toward terror and violent acts at this time of year. It has just published an in-depth article with its findings entitled "The Cruelest Month: An Examination Of April's Long History Of Terror And Violence." The article includes extensive quotes and data from Nordhaus-Bike.

As Uproxx senior writer and news editor Kimberly Ricci said, ""We started this as a news-oriented feature to outline the significant tragedies that tend to cluster in April. We racked up over 25 instances to start, many of which involve terrorism."

But instead of simply "laying out the history," Ricci wanted "to pin down a theory on why this correlation occurs."

Nordhaus-Bike came through with plenty of insight on the astrology of this time of year and why it can potentially be so violent. As she said, "The sign Aries arrives around March 21 each year, and Aries is like rocket fuel: it's incredibly powerful and fiery. It can inspire us and help us accomplish great deeds. But if we misuse this power, it can lead to tragedy, as we've seen in many historical events in late March and the first three weeks of April."
