The Hunt Country Stable Tour Returns from Hiatus

After a brief hiatus, the Hunt Country Stable Tour is back for its 65th year. This weekend, enjoy the chance to enter historic and private properties to explore their horses and participate in equestrian activities. The tour is self-driving and tickets are available here.
Veterans Can See an IN Series Concert for Free this Memorial Day
Don’t miss a Memorial Day concert of “The Return of Ulysses | Song of My Father,” from IN Series. Their Monteverdi Trilogy continues with the second installation in the cycle. This year is the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution and the start of U.S. military action in Vietnam. Monteverdi’s second opera tells the story of Trojan War hero Ulysses’ traumatic homecoming from the epic “The Odyssey.” More information on how to get tickets can be found here.
Pixar Putt Comes to the Wharf

The first pop-up mini golf experience to feature popular Pixar characters opens May 25 and will run through August 4. The 18-hole course features characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Wall-E, Inside Out, and more. The course is open seven days a week and is for all ages (private and corporate groups are welcome too!). More information can be found here.
Partake in a George Washington Whiskey Tasting
Sample George Washington’s whiskey and additional distilled spirits made at Washington’s Distillery in Mount Vernon this Saturday afternoon. Guests can sample three distilled spirits made using 18th century distilling methods and techniques and learn the history of George Washington’s whiskey from Mount Vernon’s Historic Trades team and see how they distill spirits today. The groundbreaking 1960s musical with chart-topping hits like “Aquarius,” “Let the Sunshine In,” and more is at Signature Theatre through July 7. See The Washington Ballet’s “Beyond Boundaries: An Evening Curated by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa” at The Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater
Now through May 26, see acclaimed choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa curate a very special evening with dynamic and groundbreaking dance performances. See diverse voices and new perspectives in dance. There is one performance daily through May 26, except Saturday, which has a 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. performance. Memorial Day Events:
The National Memorial Day Concert is Sunday
Sunday at 8 p.m., The National Memorial Day concert is at the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The free performance is hosted by actors Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna and will honor the sacrifice of the men and women in uniform, as well as their families. The National Memorial Day Parade Marches to Town Monday
Don’t miss the story of American sacrifice from the American Revolution to modern day as the annual National Memorial Day Parade begins along Constitution Avenue at 2 p.m. See historical reenactors, veterans, and active-duty military, as well as live music performances.
