This Friday night, a 60-foot jellyfish made of plastic grocery bags will be unveiled at the National Academy of Sciences. You can toss down blini at the Russian Embassy on Friday and slurp up ramen at Mess Hall on Saturday. Sunday morning options include yoga at Pinstripes and meditation with bunnies in Alexandria. Final Performances: ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’

Folger Theatre, 201 East Capitol St. SE, is presenting an Aaron Posner-directed production of Shakespeare’s comedy “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” in which Sir John Falstaff’s dubious plan to woo wealthy housewives is met with hilarious retaliation. Final performances are: Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 29, at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 1, at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $27 to $85. West-Eastern Divan Ensemble

On Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Washington Performing Arts will present the West-Eastern Divan Ensemble, led by concertmaster Michael Barenboim — the son of Daniel Barenboim, who founded the ensemble’s parent orchestra with the late Edward Said. Made up of outstanding young Palestinian and Israeli musicians, the ensemble will perform works by Schubert and Mendelssohn and a recent composition by contemporary French composer Benjamin Attahir. Imagination Stage: ‘Mouse on the Move’

In this interactive play, adventurous mice Nellie and Amelia decide to go to the moon since it is cat-free and made entirely of delicious, mouth-watering cheese (so they have heard). Opening: ‘The Eternal Experience’

The National Academy of Sciences, 2101 Constitution Ave. NW, will kick off its spring series, exploring issues related to plastic, with the grand unveiling of “Eternal,” a 60-foot jellyfish sculpture by Maris Polanco made of plastic grocery bags, on Friday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees at this 21+ event will play plastic bingo and trivia, see what microplastic looks like under a microscope, race against the clock in a plastics-themed escape room and learn about plastic bag legislation. Maslenitsa at the Russian Embassy

On Friday, Feb. 28, from 7 to 10:30 p.m., Maslenitsa, the age-old Slavic farewell to winter (also known as Cheesefare Week) will be celebrated at the Russian Embassy, 2650 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Attendees will feast on endless amounts of hot, delicious blini smothered in butter and sour cream, caviar, smoked fish and other toppings, chasing them down with shots of ice-cold vodka. Jason Moran and the Bandwagon

Jazz pianist Jason Moran, bassist Tarus Mateen and drummer Nasheet Waits will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bandwagon, their superlative, chance-taking trio, at a concert with singer-songwriter Cassandra Wilson and guitarist Marvin Sewell on Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. Tickets are $29 to $69. Winning Films from DC Shorts

The DC Shorts International Film Festival will present 90-minute showcases of the “Best of the Fest” on Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. (jury award winners) and 9 p.m. (audience award winners) and Saturday, Feb. 29, at 8 p.m. (audience award winners) and 10 p.m. (jury award winners) at the Miracle Theatre, 535 8th St. SE. Ramen World 2020

At Ramen World 2020, a 21+ event on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Mess Hall, 703 Edgewood St. NE, attendees will immerse themselves in the action as dishes are made-to-order and fired hot and fresh in front of them. This year’s lineup of chefs includes Katsuya Fukushima, Erik Bruner-Yang, Kaz Okochi, Alex McCoy, along with Mess Hall members Ness Maneja and Karen Hoefener. A vintage phone booth filled with instant ramen packages will give attendees the chance to raise money for Capital Area Food Bank, which will also receive part of the event proceeds. Tickets to either the noon to 2 p.m. or 3 to 5 p.m. session, including unlimited food, Kirin Ichiban, Suntory cocktails and a parting gift of San-J Tamari soy sauce or marinade, are $90. Return of Lost City Books

Lost City Books will welcome friends and neighbors to its renovated space at 2416 18th St. NW on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. This reopening event will feature food from Julia’s Empanadas, drinks, live music by DJ Ageedubb, Bite Marks, Replicant Eyes and Bottled Up and art by Karl Lista, Tiffani Gomez, Nor Han and Tiny Narwhal.
