Legacy of the New Dance Group

The free eARTh Day Planting Event, on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., is a volunteer service event for ChipN volunteers to install landscape art at one of the District Department of Parks and Recreation’s pollinator gardens, Ward 7’s Butterfly Garden, 4900 Central Ave. NE. Zero-Waste Easter Egg Hunt

Plastic Easter eggs cannot be recycled and most plastic will end up in landfills. This event, on Saturday, April 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the Takoma Community Center, 300 Van Buren St. NW, will include educational activities focusing on why and how to reduce our waste. Participants, who will learn to make a piñata from a cereal box, should bring an old cereal box (or a similar piece of cardboard) and their own water bottles. Hoppy Easter at the Graham Rooftop
