This is a special day … I’m reminded to the outstanding work that the Coast Guard does on an everyday basis and what it does during hurricane season plus just all the search and rescue (often not recognized by so many). Two of my brothers did their military service in the Coast Guard, and oh my, as a young teen, I have to tell you—I hated my job of ironing their “whites." at times! My other brother was in the Marines.
