I’ve met many matinee idols, film stars, and top models, and some have become very close friends. You’d think understanding the methodology of magnetic attraction would make you immune, but it doesn’t because their magnetism affects your chemistry.

1) Learn to maximize your own attributes
A supermodel who was my client had extraordinary height and very, very long legs. She wasn’t “beautiful”; she was unusual. But with the right styling and cosmetics, her portfolio looked like a dozen different people.
Decide on your most “attract-ive” quality and enhance it.
Try this:
Watch influencer YouTube videos to learn how to enhance your eyes, cheekbones, lips, or any standout feature.
Invest in the right tools to create the best results: flat irons, curling irons, and different hair dryers.
Have an expert do your make-up and then purchase a few of the most effective products and practice applications.
Experiment until you find a signature style that feels like you on your best day.
A third group of gifted people doesn’t have to DO anything at all
Some people are born with an unbelievable advantage, and I’ve known so many of them.
Natural fragrance.
A few people have a natural aroma that would send French parfumiers into a frenzy. My friend Jerome had people lining up to date him, and one of the reasons was an intoxicating natural scent. I assumed it was Amazone by Hermès, my favorite scent, but he laughed. It was just him.
Breathtaking beauty.
Others are so gorgeous they can’t look bad if they try. Everyone is drawn to them like iron filings to a magnet. I first saw John in a New York Times Magazine ad for Cointreau, dressed as Romeo. He was exquisite.
A woman once drove her car into the side of his black Citroën while he was filling up at a gas station. She’d just gotten her license, saw him, became mesmerized… and hit his car door so hard it fell off. That’s when I realized a perfect face and physique were a mixed blessing.
The “triple threat.”
Michael is a Hollywood triple threat: a Broadway leading man in his early twenties, then a TV and movie star soon after. He has a lovely singing voice, and he once serenaded me, as if he needed to, because who could ever turn him down?
But here’s what mattered: his work ethic helped him develop his own “star quality,” which he described to my parents when we were teens, before he had been cast in anything. He worked to develop his natural gifts, and the night one of America’s most famous actresses broke up with him, Michael put me on his handlebars and rode me through Central Park for a purely magical evening.
Genetic magnetism.
Sometimes magnetism runs in a family. A Spanish friend, nephew of one of the most famous citizens, was so incandescent that a waitress saw him and dropped her whole tray: plates, glasses, cutlery- bam – crash-onto the floor.
Why wasn’t he surprised? Maybe it happened ten times, not just once.
So yes, some people are born with it.
But the rest of us? We can and must develop our MQ and become magnetic.
How Can the Rest of Us Become Magnetic and Magical?
1) Self-soothing first

2) Mirror Work
There’s an amazing scene in Midnight Cowboy where Jon Voight, playing a male prostitute in Times Square, does what actors and models do: mirror work.
He poses. He experiments. He finds captivating expressions. He practices being irresistible.
That kind of mirror work is a powerful practice for anyone who wants more dating success.
I met Jon, and fortunately, he only used half of The Look, not the full-bore tractor beam, so I was immune… but it got me thinking.
3) Practice while you watch TV
You’re sitting on the couch or in bed, and you’re bored by the program, so practice.
Even alone, you have a whole world to imagine. And imagination is a key ingredient of magnetism.
I promise you: the imagination of the actors who “cruised” me is what propelled them to give me The Look, because they each spotted me before I saw them.
So pick a show with someone you wish you’d meet. Study them and imagine meeting them and setting your own tractor beam on high, pulling them into your orbit. Use your peaceful high energy. Yes, both, simultaneously.
And don’t be surprised when you start drawing more attention from attractive potential partners in real life.
4) Practice every time you’re out and about
While empathic communication is the key to a satisfying relationship, magnetism is what launches passion.
Get present by waking up your consciousness with Brain-breathing.
Then, get connected to the person you want to meet or know
Finally, beam your affection, interest, or cheerfulness out to them!
5) Reverse your thinking
Beauty often wants to be taken seriously.
Serious people often need you to flirt—to pull them into something lighter, warmer, more alive.
6) You need this! This skill is the key to every date or partnership you’ll ever have. This is the one skill you must develop, because it also pivots your career. People who didn’t notice you will begin to sit up and pay attention to you.
Magnetism can open the door, but magnetism doesn’t build a relationship.
What creates lasting love is what happens after the spark: emotional safety, meaningful conversation, and the ability to stay connected when real life shows up.
