Today we’re talking about the leaders role in conflict.

In last week’s episode, we talked about conflict and when it’s bad and when it’s good. Yep, that’s right. Not all conflict is bad. You can watch the full episode here.

In this episode, we are talking about the leader’s role in conflict – the kind of conflict that isn’t good.

For example: You’re sitting in your office. Someone comes into your office and they say you, “you need to talk to Joe because Joe is causing a problem.” And this person goes on to describe all of the issues that are the conflict between Joe and this person. This person’s goal is for you to go talk to Joel to solve the conflict.

You’ve been there, right? Now the question is, what do you do?

What too many leaders do is go try to solve the conflict. In this episode, let’s talk about what you might do or do better instead.

Tweet it out: Leaders too often step into conflict resolution too early. Start by encouraging and coaching others to resolve it first. @KevinEikenberry
