The Caring Generation® Talk Radio for Caregivers

Golden CO- The Caring Generation® radio program for caregivers and aging adults airs on Internet radio beginning July 17, 2019. Broadcast live on Bold Brave Media; the program will be available on Tune In Radio, Spreaker, and other streaming services.

Listeners can join The Caring Generation radio program live on Wednesday evenings at 9 p.m. EST.  Host, Pamela D. Wilson, caregiving expert began the program in 2009 on 630 KHOW-AM in Denver. Pamela's website page for the radio program for caregivers features links to the live program. A short webinar video on this page shows how easy it is to connect to the radio program and to listen live.

The weekly programs will be available in podcast format on Pamela's website for listeners who may have missed the original live broadcast. According to Pamela, "I am excited about the program airing on Internet radio. This radio show provides the opportunity for caregivers and care receivers to listen worldwide."

Caregivers benefit from support and assistance. Some don't know that help exists. Others don't know where to find reliable and trusted information.

Of interest is that persons helping or caring for family members do not always self-identify themselves as caregivers. These family members may admit to "helping out," on occasion, but do not have the foresight to know that this help will eventually transfer into the role and responsibility of being a caregiver.

Because there is little discussion in families about caregiving, individuals in these early caregiving relationships are the most surprised when an unexpected event turns life upside down. When caregiving responsibilities increase, many family members admit that they had no idea what was about to happen.

Other caregivers who are devoted to caregiving twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week find it challenging to create time away from the caregiving home. Because of the time commitment and the isolation surrounding this focused level of care, these caregivers are unaware that there are millions of other caregivers in similar situations.

Caregivers are relieved to find camaraderie and like-minds in online caregiving support groups and courses. Easily accessible support helps caregivers gain confidence, learn new skills, and realize that caregiving is manageable by being proactive and open-minded to ideas that make caregiving easier.

Pamela confirms, "The Caring Generation radio program will bring caregivers and aging adults together. Caregiving is a subject that we should talk about as commonly as the weather. Not talking about the likelihood of being a caregiver results in unpleasant surprises and challenges in providing care for loved ones."

Hope, help, and solutions will be offered each week by Pamela and guests offering insight into subjects that relate to caregiving and aging.  Pamela is a proven and trustworthy caregiving expert, advocate, and speaker and author of the book The Caregiving Trap.  Her mission is to reach and help as many caregivers as possible to avoid the pitfalls of caregiving.

According to Pamela, "I've seen the best and worse of the caregiving and healthcare systems. I know what can happen that caregivers and aging adults have no way of predicting. My 20+ years of experience help caregivers avoid unexpected crises and reduce caregiving stress."

Pamela's website features information about online courses, frequently asked questions about caregiving support, what is a caregiving webinar, a caregiving library, newsletter, and her caregiving blog – all available 24/7.
