During this radio program for caregivers, Wilson answers the question of what happens when you get old? Provided is a background of what being old means, including a discussion about what it means to be the young-old, old, and old-old. Shared is information about how older adults feel about aging.

Caregivers will learn how increasing awareness about health and wellness activities early in life can lead to a healthier, happier, old age. When viewed as one of life's great lessons, caring for aging parents is a learning opportunity that can benefit many areas in the life of the caregiver.

As we age, career and personal priorities change. We may be less focused on building a career and more focused on building friends and creating a lifestyle to enjoy in retirement. Family members and friends may pass away, increasing the realization that time is short.

Everyone has a choice about the answer to the question of what happens when you get old? Waiting too long to consider this question results in perishable opportunities to be proactive about health and well-being.

A diagnosis of one or more chronic diseases can steal the chance of living the retirement that many dream about. Join Wilson for What Happens When You Get Old to learn proactive tips about aging and caregiving.
