Thank you for lending your voice to this worthy endeavor.

Please share with friends and associates. Encourage them to join with us in speaking out in our own words. Got something to say?

Send us photographs and we’ll post on the state page where plastic pollution is happening.

Walk the talk with a donation of $3, one for cleaner waterways, one for less spoiled shores, and one for healthier skies. Together, we’ll go far for our quality of life.

To help preserve ocean life.  Ralph Hagewood, Asheville NC

Plastic is destroying the ocean and working its way through every being on earth; gradually killing all of us.  Without healthy oceans, there will be major famine within this decade.  We MUST stop destroying it or our quality of life will be a sad memory within this decade.  Just take a look at what is happening now.  This is a small taste of things to come.  Cleaning up our planet, and stopping our rampant destruction NOW will generate clean air and water, better fisheries, less disease and generate many new jobs.  It is a win-win situation.  Please wake up and take drastic action immediately. No more microscopic plastic in my body cells.  Healthier oceans, more jobs, cleaner water, higher quality of life.  Sue Hayden, Bahama NC

Tons of plastic have already been discovered in remote areas of our oceans.  This plastic lasts forever.  If we continue producing it at the present rate, we will all shortly be choking in plastic! It will protect the beautiful Earth that I love, and it will save future generations from disaster. Christina Dickson, Black Mountain NC

We are ingesting plastics and, as a result, may be poisoning ourselves.  Fred Coppotelli, Cedar Mountain NC

We need urgently to begin protecting our oceans.  They are a vital source of life support.  WE cannot survive without them.  Most of the very oxygen we breathe comes from the ocean!!!! This Act is life-saving for the Earth and its oceans — and all the life on and in them it.  This ACT saves OUR lives.  Ignorance and unwillingness to face reality are killing us. Heide Coppotelli, Cedar Mountain NC

We are killing sea animals and even impacting human health with microplastics getting in the seafood we eat.  Use more easily recyclable glass and aluminum containers and use renewable and biodegradable paper products.  And use re-usable containers as much as possible. Healthier when eating seafood and not having to view (or pick up) as much plastic trash. Richard Strowd, Chapel Hill NC

It is important because it hurts wildlife and the environment – the two most important things that I want to protect! All grocery stores should be forced to use paper bags for starters!  There should be no plastic straws and no plastic packaging. Tami Redi, Charlotte NC

Save our world. Act to make me feel better, not to kill wildlife and pollute our world. Connie Raper, Durham NC

Plastic pollution is killing our planet, and all the living creatures on it. Birds get plastic can rings stuck around their necks. Sea turtles swallow plastic bags. We can’t let that continue.  Elena Carleo, Franklinville NC

The plastic in our oceans and rivers is killing so much of our sea life. We need an end to this. Less waste. Teresa Pitts, Glen Alpine NC

Act, so we don’t trash our oceans any more than we already have! I love the Ocean, so cleaning it up would benefit me & all of mankind. George Neste, High Point NC

There are no other animals as nasty and selfish as humans.  We must stop our plastic greed.  It is choking our planet. Thank you for acting on this plastic pollution bill.  Mary Combs, Marion NC

Our planet is a gem of the universe that must be preserved.  Any pollution is unacceptable. The immediate benefit is reduction in use of fossil fuels, yesterday’s energy source.  Frederick Ehrgott, Ocean Isle Beach NC

To protect our environment — natural and man-made. Above all, in supporting our hard-tried environment; of course also in cleaning up and decluttering our communities. Zola Packman, Raleigh NC

For healthy cleaner environment. Chas Griffin, Seven Lakes NC
