Thank you for lending your voice to this worthy endeavor.

Please share with friends and associates. Encourage them to join with us in speaking out in our own words. Got something to say?

Send us photographs and we’ll post on the state page where plastic pollution is happening.

Walk the talk with a donation of $3, one for cleaner waterways, one for less spoiled shores, and one for healthier skies. Together, we’ll go far for our quality of life.

For God sake, plastic is a killer! What is it going to take to wake up the nation to the harm that has been done to our places and its animals…. just maybe, this virus is Mother Earth’s wakeup call!!!!!! Stand up for the plastic pollution bill. Just knowing that “something” productive and effective would bring tears to my eyes. Roth Woods, Ann Arbor MI

We are the ones who created this horror and WE need to take responsibility and END this mess!!  STOP making plastic Bottles, Bags, Straws and all!!!  STOP CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEMISE OF OUR BODIES OF WATER!!!! Restrict plastic to things like hampers and hard items that last. Support this bill and I would be happier knowing something is being done to HELP our World!!  Vicki Dickinson, Battle Creek MI

We need to stop destroying our world. Birds, fish and plant life would be so much better. Linda Porter, Belleville MI

Plastic doesn’t just dissolve and disappear–it lingers in the environment forever and is a threat to the life in the ocean and elsewhere. Not just me but all of us.  We have to take care of our home, this planet we call Earth.  We need to live more sustainably. Ilene Kazak, Brighton MI

There’s so much plastic in this culture that vinyl leopard skin is becoming an endangered synthetic. Lily Tomlin, Detroit MI

Plastic is killing our planet; it will never degrade and disappear, but continue to be a blight on air, water and land. It would benefit all of us by making better use of our resources, recycling and using other options besides plastic that are renewable. Diana Duffy, East Tawas MI

We have to stop making plastic packaging. NOW. We’ve destroyed marine life by dumping plastic in the oceans. Our local recyclers no longer recycle plastic and our landfills are full. My family has stopped using plastic bags and buying plastic containers.  Manufacturers have to switch to packaging made from recycled cardboard and sustainably recycled cans and plastic. Retool our LOCAL factories to make recycled sustainable packaging and products, grow local, water-saving produce year-round and protect our resources, while reducing the damage caused by long distance shipping. It will give our planet and our young citizens a chance to have a future. It will create local jobs and must also provide for shipping options that use less fossil fuel. Amazon, with its speedy shipping, has accelerated global warming and abused and endangered its workers. Most communities have local post offices. Local communities should retool to become basically self-sustaining year round. B Linder, Fenton MI

Microplastics are getting into our food and then back into us, which means that we are slowly poisoning ourselves. Anything that reduces waste plastics reduces waste in our environment and makes the world that much healthier. Michael Marcus, Hamtramck MI

Clutter from plastic is awful. Why can manufacturers make this stuff? China is planning on banning all single-use plastic by 2025. If they can do it, we can. We should beat them at their own game. Plastic is made from styrene, and is a known carcinogen. No one knows how individuals are affected, they only know they are. Each person is different, like alcoholism or the ability to give birth. If we return to glass and metal, we’ll all be better off. Much easier to reuse and recycle these products than plastic. Plastic is a waste of energy. Jon Krueger, Jackson MI

We MUST keep ALL climate-changing fossil fuels IN THE GROUND!  Art Hanson, Lansing MI

Let’s go back to recyclable /re-useable glass. Plastic recyclability is for the most part a big destructive lie.  Charles Dineen, Lawton MI

#1 – It KILLS animals. #2 – It’s UGLY to the environment. #3 – See reasons 1 and 2.  Nuff said. It’s an emotional and physical attack on my health. Seeing plastics and all the harm they cause literally make me sick to my stomach. Support this bill. Lessening plastic pollution would help my emotional wellbeing. Katherine Wright, Milford MI

We are drowning in plastic and cannot continue our dependence on it. Our world would be a much happier place without plastic trash. Susan Welsford, Norton Shores MI

We are drowning in plastic.  We need to expand our deposit laws to all beverage containers for starters. We would wean ourselves off this nasty product and use products made of natural materials. Susan Welsford, Norton Shores MI

We need to protect ourselves from microplastics. We need to protect wildlife who are killed by plastic. It would benefit me with a healthier life. William McMullin, Oak Park MI

ANIMALS ARE SUFFERING BECAUSE OF HUMANS NEGLIGENT ACTIONS! I PRAY TO GOD TO PLEASE BLESS AND PROTECT HIS MOST INNOCENTS, HIS ANIMALS! WE ALL MUST TAKE PROACTIVE ACTION! SOME PLASTICS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, MEDICAL SUPPIES, TO KEEP INFECTIONS DOWN, BUT FOR THE MOST PART WE CAN CUT DOWN, BIG TIME.  BACK IN THE DAY, PLASTICS WERE ALMOST NILL.  Pam Wilbourn, Roseville MI

Its building up in the environment & in the animals & fish. It effects all of us. Whether it be from the animals themselves or the people who eat them. Act for better food and water. Matt Brzezinski, St. Clair Shores MI

Plastic is wrecking our oceans.  Act for the safety of our planet and its inhabitants.  Sue Nearing, Vassar MI

Microscopic bits of plastic are showing up everywhere… water, fish, food and new born babies!  This has to stop NOW! By ensuring that we are not poisoning ourselves and the environment. Kathy Oppenhuizen, West Olive MI
