StickerGiant.com, an innovative solutions provider for custom stickers and other custom printing needs, offers instructions about how to save a .pdf file in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Creating the highest quality file type is essential for preserving the quality of your image for printing, whether it will be featured on a custom sticker, a t-shirt or on something else.

Photoshop and Illustrator are two of the most commonly used programs for creating high quality images. However, it's important that these images be saved as .pdf files for several reasons. First, it can help make the files more manageable. Second, it is often a requirement for submission. If you have no idea how to do this, though, fear not.

In Illustrator, open your file. Next, go to the type menu and choose "create outlines." Once you have done this, simply go to "file" and select "save as." Now you only need to navigate to your destination folder and choose a name for your file. Choose "Adobe .pdf" as your file type and make sure you select "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities" from the next dropdown menu so that changes can be made later if necessary. Click "save" and you are finished.

In Photoshop, open your image and then click on "file" and then "save as." Choose a name for your file and make sure that the destination folder is correct. Double check that you're saving it as "Adobe .pdf." Click on "save" and then on "preserve Photoshop editing capabilities." Click "save" again and the file is finished.

If you would like, you can also click "view PDF" with both of these methods to ensure that the image was saved correctly.
