It’s fair to say that federal workers have been through a lot this year. Those who have gotten through the RIFs and DOGE visits, this week’s government shutdown feels pretty on the nose. So it’s a good thing that local DC restaurants, bars, and museums are offering shut down specials and discounts to affected feds. Whether you want to treat yourself to your favorite restaurant or need a stiff drink, here is a round up of some of the discounts offered to federal workers, their families, and even the wider region as a whole.
