Former home of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is hitting the local real estate market with a hefty price tag of $8.5 million. The home, built in 1950, will be marketed by Washington Fine Properties’ Thomas Anderson.

Featuring a pool, pool house and carriage house, the property is enveloped in privacy, despite being located at 3300 Nebraska Ave. NW in the Spring Valley neighborhood. The gated compound sits on just under one acre of land.

The main home is 6,696 square feet and includes four bedrooms, seven bathrooms and two partial bathrooms. Nicknamed “Willow Oaks,” it’s the first time the home has been up for sale in over 20 years. It has a stylish foyer, formal living room and a dining room. It’s great for entertaining, as it has a bar and a two-story great room.

During the warmer months, a sunroom is perfect for sitting and enjoying pool and garden views. The kitchen includes a sunny breakfast room and a private library on the main level of the home makes for a unique addition with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

The upstairs is equally luxurious, with three bedrooms including a primary suite with dual bathrooms. There’s also a lower-level rec room.

Feinstein passed away in 2023 at the age of 90. She purchased the property in 2001 for $5.6 million with her husband, the late Richard C. Blum, who died in 2022. Feinstein served as a senator for over 30 years. She was also San Francisco’s first female mayor and the first woman from the state of California elected to the Senate.

Her Stinson Beach, Calif. property sold in December 2023 for $9.1 million.

You can read more on the local Willow Oaks listing here. While there are no interior shots of the home yet, viewers can see the exterior of the home.
