Graham Holdings Company announced that Donald E. Graham, above, will transition from his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Graham will remain a member of the Board as Chairman Emeritus. Long-time board member Anne Mulcahy has been elected by the Board to serve as Chair effective May 2023. Mulcahy was Chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation from 2001-2010. During that time, she and her management team were responsible for the aggressive, multi-billion-dollar turnaround plan that returned Xerox to profitability. Ms. Mulcahy joined Xerox in 1976 as a field sales representative and ascended to executive leadership roles throughout the organization both domestically and internationally. In addition to serving on the board at Graham Holdings Company, Mulcahy also serves as a lead director of Johnson & Johnson and is an active board member of LPL Financial. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Save the Children and is an Executive in Residence at Harvard University.  Graham Holdings Company is a diversified American conglomerate holding company. Headquartered in Arlington County, Virginia, it was formerly the owner of The Washington Post newspaper and Newsweek magazine.

The New York Times Company named Joy Robins its global chief advertising officer. Robins will report directly to president and chief executive officer Meredith Kopit Levien. According to E&P, she will lead New York Times Advertising and T Brand Studio when she joins in early May.  Robins said, “The New York Times has proven the value of its essential subscription bundle to consumers. The Times now has a tremendous opportunity to showcase the power of the bundle to marketers. I’m looking forward to joining a talented team as we take on this important work.”  She joins the Times Company from The Washington Post where she has served as chief revenue officer since 2019.

Vanguard Communications announced that its president and CEO Maria J. Rodriguez has been named one of PRWeek’s 2023 Women of Distinction.
