Brunswick Group appoints Akiko Karaki as a partner in Tokyo. Karaki joins the firm from PwC’s Strategy& unit, where she was a partner, advising consumer-facing companies, financial institutions and healthcare and life sciences clients on corporate strategy and sustainability-related matters. She previously held senior roles at McKinsey & Company, J.P. Morgan and Credit Agricole. In her new post, Karaki will advise Japanese companies globally and international clients with operations in Japan on financial, regulatory and political and social issues. “Akiko has deep experience in advising companies on their most pressing issues,” said Brunswick CEO Neal Wolon. “She brings senior networks and strong leadership expertise, which will further enhance our capabilities in Japan, where we see significant opportunity to grow.”

ROKK Solutions brings on BCW managing director Mike Waterman as a senior VP. At BCW, Waterman was the leader in corporate and technology issues, building relationships with colleagues and advising clients in Brussels, Beijing, Singapore and Seoul. After starting his career as press secretary to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Waterman worked at agencies including Ketchum, Hyde Park Communications and Ruder Finn, in addition to serving as a VP at Zeno Group and Levick. He has advised and consulted major companies on public affairs matters, corporate positioning, reputational goals and issue campaigns.

Nintex, a platform that manages, automates and optimizes business processes for more than 10,000 public and private sector organizations, appoints Mini Peiris as CMO. Peiris was most recently CMO at Doma, which uses machine intelligence to conduct real estate transactions. She has also served as CMO at Elementum and Ambra Health, and VP, worldwide marketing at NetSuite. In her new role, Peiris will be responsible for shaping and executing Nintex's global go-to-market strategy, driving awareness, demand generation, partner and customer engagement, and furthering the company's position as an industry leader. “Mini's experience perfectly aligns with this stage of growth for Nintex," said Nintex CEO Amit Mathradas.
