Every review I receive touches my heart because it means a reader has taken the time to read my book fully, and to give back to what I hope they gained from their reading. Reviews in certain places, though, are less about the quality of the review than they are about quantity. A reader is more apt to find a book if it has hundreds of reviews instead of 17, like mine does now. I’ve taken that in stride. I realize most of my readers are also busy writers with not enough time to read and review every book they buy. 

Other reviews, like the one I received last week from Midwest Book Reviews, open doors like no other. If they are glowing, they can give you so much more expansion in your writing career. So with that said, I’ve been waiting for a review like theirs for 50, yes 50, years. I published my first story at 16.
