Tysons Corner, VA – June 6, 2019 -- MicroTech is proud to announce its selection as a prime contractor on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Tactical Communications Equipment and Services II (TacCom II) contract vehicle.

TacCom II will provide DHS and other federal agencies with access to the latest tools and technologies including equipment (radios, infrastructure, and satellite solutions) and services (systems integration, installation, engineering, and operations and maintenance) to ensure end-to-end transmission of mission-critical data. TACCOM II includes a $3 billion ceiling and a 5-year base period of performance.

"MicroTech is excited about supporting the Department of Homeland Security, the third largest agency in the federal government," said Tony Jimenez, Founder, President & CEO of MicroTech. "This contract will allow us to support DHS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other agencies by providing the best technology and services available. TacCom II builds upon our already successful track record of bringing value to our government customers and demonstrates our commitment to excellence," Mr. Jimenez added.

According to DHS, the equipment and services procured through the vehicle will be used for maritime, airborne, and land-based missions. DHS also noted that TacCom II will increase government interoperability and savings because it is a multi-agency contract that will improve communication across a number of federal agencies, and include efficient buying and bulk purchasing discounts through a centralized source.

MicroTech was one of 23 small businesses awarded the TacCom II contract vehicle.
