Her name is Fawn Malero, and she has a problem. To tell the truth, Fawn often has problems. Asthe only private detective for the supernaturals of the Seattle area,Fawn usually has a lot on her plate. And now that she is gaining morenotoriety in the community, her cases are getting harder and harderto solve.

Take, for instance, hernewest case. Someone has unleashed thousands of rabbits across thecity.

When the book opens, despite spending days catching and releasing little furry friends inthe wilderness outside of town, Fawn is still no closer to figuringout who is responsible for the rabbit apocalypse. But soon, thatbecomes the least of her problems, as bizarre and troubling weatherplagues the city.

Unlike the rabbits, theweather actually hurts people, as a blizzard causes pile ups on theroads and then immediately shifts to 90-degree heat waves.

As the daughter of afamily of magicians and with some supernatural powers herself, Fawnusually considers herself well equipped to handle the supernaturalproblems in the city. But finding out who is behind these additionalproblems begins to strain even her detective abilities. And, betweenthat and having to prepare for her boyfriend's vampireex-girlfriend's important and posh wedding, Fawn struggles to keepher head above water.
