"Humor may also help you stay healthy!" This is one of the many reasons to laugh that humor in business expert Jan McInnis shared during her keynote with members of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).  McInnis was the closing keynote speaker at their annual conference on Saturday, September 21, 2019, where she presented her keynote Finding the Funny in Change.

McInnis mentioned that Laugther Yoga is sweeping the coutnry as a way to gain some of the benefits of laughing. Several of the attnedees admitted to attending laughter yoga classes and enjoying them! 

Aside from possible health benefits, McInnis also shared that using humor is a fast way to change the energy in the room, and she showed attendees how to find humor quickly to diffuse tension. "A lot of speakers will tell you that you need to use humor in business, but they don't show you how. As a comedian who started my career in the comedy clubs, I can actually show people how to find and use humor in business," McInnis pointed out.

McInnis has spoken at thousands of conferences throughout the U.S., including many healthcare conferences, sharing her humor and tips on using humor.

AACVPR is an assoiation for health professionals who work in cardio and pulmonary rehabilitation.
