Jeffrey Jones & Dr. Fernando Flores

(October 21, 2010) Human Factor International Managing Director and Executive Coach Jeffrey Jones will join the Pluralistic Networks 4-month program, "Working Effectively in Small Teams" with Dr. Fernando Flores beginning October 22, 2010. Jeffrey has been serving as an assistant coach and participating in programs with Fernando Flores for nearly two years. His interest in Senator Flores' approach to ontological coaching began at Columbia University around the use of virtual realities in the Executive Coaching field. Jeffrey's participation adds another valuable resource for Human Factor International's clients and demonstrates HFI's ongoing commitment to deliver cutting edge Executive Coaching services backed by evidence based research and global best practices.

The Pluralistic Networks website explains, "If you are interested in beginning to embody new, more effective ways to engage and work with others, and wish to experience more individualized conversations and exercises, we offer a four-month online interactive program utilizing virtual environments and VOIP (voice over Internet protocol). These tools make possible a new kind of pedagogy that is freed from the bounds of time and space, and that creates a complex social network within which students can learn new abilities while in action with others. The focus of this program is to increase participants' ability to invent their world with others, and become more effective in the way they lead and work with other people."

The program description continues, "As a result of participating in the program, you will not just learn new facts, but you will also learn, in action with others, to continuously invent yourself by engaging more effectively with other people. More specifically, you will learn to: 1) build strong teams and become a more effective leader, 2) become a more effective and collaborative team player, 3) eliminate waste caused by miscommunications, lack of coordination, redundancies and missed opportunities, 4) listen more effectively to the concerns of others, 5) build trust with others, including people from different countries and cultures, 6) build emotional fortitude and flexibility to navigate constant change, 7) create stronger, long-lasting and more flexible networks."

The mission statement on the website reads: "The internet confronts us with a plurality of values at a level of immediacy unimaginable to previous generations. At work, at play and at home, we are unavoidably connected to people from all over the world. In organizations large and small, project teams are increasingly virtual, consisting of people based in dispersed geographical locations, from different cultural backgrounds and value systems. To flourish, even to participate in a meaningful way, in our world today requires the cultivation of a new kind of pluralism. This pluralism is a mindset that goes far beyond tolerating diversity, to actively engaging with others to articulate shared goals and commit to working together to achieve these. This new kind of pluralism requires a new skill set, which we call the Orchestration of Commitments in Pluralistic Networks."
