Attract the Right Job or Clientele:

How to Tastefully Empower Teamwork for Business Growth

A tasteful touch of creativity will empower teamwork and business growth. Entrepreneurs and companies strive for new ways to grow their networks to encourage new business, but one or more ingredients are missing. It all begins with a heart-based approach and tasteful delivery of the goods!

My Story

Upon arranging a visit with one who heads up teams, a surprising offer came my way. ‘Jim’ shared that his company not only provides tasty delicacies for people who work on the premises, but they recently enacted a new strategy for teamwork: Any employee who would like to share their unique cuisine heritage through a cooking video has an invitation to do so.

Jim invited me to watch a team member prepare pot stickers from scratch. Although the recipe requires much effort, the tasty result makes it worthwhile. Upon watching the entire video, Jim prepared the food to share in his spare time, and it was delicious.

The Sale Perspective

From a sales perspective, the opportunity to share food and conversation was a powerful tool in my arsenal. It opened doors with potential clients and served as a unique way to express gratitude after a successful sale. Whether it was a food gift basket or a celebratory meal at a restaurant, the gesture always left a lasting impression.

Enhance Teamwork

Food plays a significant role in fostering a positive work environment in varying forms. In larger companies, providing snacks at tea and coffee bars during breaks offers relaxation and encourages one-on-one interactions among peers. Medium-sized companies often provide snacks during meetings; meals are popular at outdoor events. These small gestures can go a long way in enhancing teamwork and fostering a sense of appreciation among employees.

Food can be the magic wand for showing appreciation for employees’ work plus encouraging them to take extra steps on behalf of the company.

Cohesive Strategy

Although not a popular topic, when people appreciate who they are and their contributions, they will dig deeper than ever to do their best work.

Learning about one another’s cultures, whether via cooking videos or enjoying various meals together, encourages camaraderie in more ways than most envision upfront. Sharing cuisines can be a natural remedy for diversity and inclusion.

Your Story

Despite possible past mimicking of your heritage, consider the positives concerning the delicacies you enjoy the most. Is there a story behind it that you want to share? Moreover, are you willing to create and share varying cuisine videos or contribute one yourself?

An atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable sharing their heritage through cuisine will likely foster greater appreciation for one another.

– If you are an employee, suggest to management how an ongoing open door for sharing cooking videos or occasional team meetings with varying edibles can benefit many.

As a manager who desires to know your team better, consider the possibility of sharing food with conversation.

– As the CEO of a larger company, consider the greater good of your entire staff and how incorporating sharing varying cuisines may bring them closer together. If it’s in the budget, consider hiring chefs who serve international food occasionally to spark interest and further camaraderie among employees.

In Conclusion: Tastefully Empower Teamwork for Business Growth

The end-goal is to create a harmonious team as much as possible, encourage sharing ideas with ‘food for thought,’ and enjoy a more robust business. When clients observe friendly smiles and hear smiles in the voices of staff members, it further encourages them to do business with the company. Last, share the wealth by gifting new clients a basket of delicacies or taking them to lunch to express appreciation. Doing so can create a long-lasting partnership.
