When finding a solution to a challenge, there is always an opportunity to be creative. So how can a time-pressed manager become a more effective problem solver?
Using the Questioning Assumptions technique, managers can re-examine their issues with a simple, 3-step process.
1. Decide on how you want to frame your creative challenge.
2. Generate 20 to 30 assumptions you might be making – true or false – about that creative challenge.
3. Pick several of those assumptions, and use them as thought starters/creative triggers to create new ideas.
