Here’s another reason you might consider showing your appreciation by writing a handwritten note.
With this digital age, instant communications, bytes and megabytes of notes pinging back and forth, we can lose the longevity and findability of certain cherished things.
One thing many people cherish are notes of thanks and appreciation. They save them.
But how hard is it to save (and find) that email from the boss? The appreciative text message from your spouse? An e card sharing kudos from a co-worker?
That’s right. Give ’em something to save. On real paper. Written with a real pen.
Personal blogger note: Yes, I still have a letter my husband wrote me in the early stages of our relationship telling me what he appreciated about me. I carry it in my day planner. It is tattered, but it is still there. Thanks Bob.
That’s another reason a handwritten note is a very powerful way to say “I appreciate you.”
